New Orleans Section Constitution

Preface

In accordance with the Constitution and Bylaws of the American Society for Nondestructive Testing, ASNT, incorporated under the general Not-For-Profit Corporation Act of the state of Illinois, the following Constitution and Bylaws are hereby established for the New Orleans Section of The American Society for Nondestructive Testing.

Preamble

This Section Constitution supplements the Constitution of ASNT and clarifies the Section organization under the Society Constitution. Nothing in the Section Constitution shall be contrary to the Society Constitution; if conflicts appear, the Society Constitution shall prevail.

Article I: Name

The name of this Section shall be the New Orleans Section of the American Society for Nondestructive Testing hereinafter referred to as the "Section".

Article II: Purpose

The purpose of this Section of the Society is the same as that of ASNT, namely; the Society is organized and shall be operated exclusively for the purpose of advancing scientific, engineering, and technical knowledge in the field of nondestructive testing through education, research, and the compilation and dissemination of information useful to the individual and beneficial to the general public.
